Elishia Jackson is a Melbourne based multimedia artist. She is motivated by a desire to capture the faces and emotions found within humankind. Inspired by various cultures, their histories and the people within them, she aims to tell their stories through her artwork. Of utmost importance is authenticity, understanding, and human connection.
Along with painting and drawing, Elishia creates beautiful woven objects using the ancient technique of coil weaving. She weaves bowls, dishes, vases and wall hangings using hand dyed raffia and often incorporates weaving into her paintings.
